Installation

  • Unzip in the desired folder
  • All files should remain in the same folder

Execution

  • If double-clicking “DataForward_portable.jar” works, you’re done. You can delete “linux.sh”, “windows.bat” and “mac.command”
  • If it does not work, try double-clicking one of the following depending on your operating system:
    • If you use Windows: double-click “windows.bat”
    • If you use Mac: double-click “mac.command”
    • If you use Linux:
      • Right click “linux.sh”
      • Select “properties”
      • Select “permissions”
      • Select “Execution: allow the execution of this file…”
      • Close window and double-click “linux.sh”
  • You’ll see that two .log files are created. They are important for us to help you if there’s a problem with the application.
  • Now you can go to the “Config” area and start configuring the application for your company
  • You’re done! You can start adding artists/editors/helpers, tracks, disks, sales, etc.

Backup

  • In order to do a backup make sure you stopped the application first
  • The easy way of doing a backup is copying all files in the folder
  • If you don’t want to copy all files, you can simply copy the folder “dataforward-database”

That’s all!
